Your new role
- Development and implementation of an effective procurement strategy, aligned with the company's overall objectives.
- Budget management, planning and monitoring procurement budgets to control costs.
- Forecasting needs, collaborating with other departments to anticipate the need for materials or services and adjust procurement plans.
- Identification of competitive suppliers on the local and international market. Evaluating them from the perspective of prices, quality and delivery capacity.
- Negotiating commercial, contractual and financial terms with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms.
- Maintaining solid and sustainable relationships with existing suppliers, but also developing new strategic partnerships.
- Continuous monitoring and evaluation of supplier performance, including compliance with delivery deadlines, quality of products and services, and their ability to honor contracts.
- Conducting periodic audits or reviews to ensure that suppliers meet quality and compliance standards.
- Monitoring raw material and services market trends to identify procurement opportunities or risks.
- Development of reports and analysis on procurement performance, expenditure incurred and cost reduction opportunities.
- Coordinating and managing the procurement team, ensuring that each member performs their duties effectively and that the team's objectives are met.
- Training and professional development of procurement staff to improve their skills and performance.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in the development and implementation of procurement strategy.
- Ability to analyze data, evaluate suppliers and interpret trends to make informed decisions in the procurement process.
- Financial and economic knowledge, including budgeting, cost analysis and financial risk management in procurement.
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers and distributors.
- Experience in contract and document management with an emphasis on compliance with terms and conditions.
- Experience in identifying and managing procurement risks, including price fluctuations and quality issues.
- Knowledge of legal regulations and commercial legislation to ensure compliance and avoid litigation.
- The ability to quickly and efficiently solve challenges at the department level, orientation to results.
- Acts as a leader and is the main factor promoting change and adaptation to new situations.
- Ability to coordinate teams.
