Chief Accountant wanted in Bucharest - renewable energy!

Your new company

For our partner, a highly experienced, independent renewable energy producer building a new era of sustainable power for Central and South Eastern Europe we are looking for a Head Accountant/ Senior Accountant to support the Romanian Finance Manager in establishment of internal accounting department and its subsequent operations in Bucharest.

Your new role

Day-to-day accounting management of AP / AR documents according to statutory requirements
Reconciliation of E-factura invoices, intercompany flows and other reconciliations as needed
Processing and coordination of monthly closing procedures and management accounts
Issuance, validation and submission of SAF-T audit file, VAT / CIT / WHT local statements and returns as per local requirements and assigned periodicity
Preparation of reports for submission to the National Bank of Romania, National Institute of Statistics (INS) or other public institutions
Preparation of statutory FS & Notes for selected entities
Participation on SAP S/4 Hana implementation

What you'll need to succeed

University degree
5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment, out of which minimum 2 years in a similar role
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Comprehensive knowledge of local GAAP and statutory compliance requirements
At least basic knowledge of IFRS
Experience with fixed assets accounting and working with SAP required (preferably S/4HANA)
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Working proficiency in English
ACCA qualification obtained or in progress is an advantage
