General Ledger
For our clients, a leader in Corporate Performance Management, we are looking for a General Ledger/ Senior Accountant who will be part of a new accounting and controlling hub in Bucharest, Romania. With 15 subsidiaries across Europe and South Africa, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to take ownership of multi-ledger accounting and contribute to the success of our growing international organization.


Expected Capabilities
  • Autonomously manage multi-ledger accounting in accordance with group accounting principles, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Execute project invoicing for professional services, supplier re-invoicing, products, commissions and other related processes.
  • Lead project controlling efforts, including revenue recognition, milestone tracking, and accrual accounting for services.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations to ensure consistency across ledgers and entities.
  • Implement analytical accounting for deeper insights into financial performance.
  • Partner with local tax and payroll accountants in various countries to align group ledgers with local tax requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Drive fast and efficient month-end and year-end closes, adhering to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards.
  • Contribute to the development of the Bucharest accounting hub, onboarding and mentoring new team members.


Required Skills
  • Accounting Expertise: Strong background in multi-ledger accounting, revenue recognition, and accrual accounting in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
  • Project Controlling Knowledge: Experience with service-based project accounting and milestone-based revenue recognition.
  • ERP Systems: Hands-on experience with accounting software; knowledge of the ERP Odoo is a plus.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (mandatory);
  • French or German are considered an advantage.
