TPL Principal Analog Design R&D Engineer – Bucharest
Looking for an experienced TPL Principal Analog Design R&D Engineer.

Your new role
- Technical leadership of IC related product development, technical interface to the customer as well as to internal stakeholders, for specification, design, layout, process, test and product engineering.
- Define chip top level specifications starting from customer requirement.
- Identify blocks and architectures to be used to meet chip level specifications; assess technical risk, time, and complexity to achieve 1st time right design.
- Define operating modes of the IC and techniques to minimise current consumption
- Define Design for Test (Dft) architecture.
- Work with quality, test and production engineering to secure mass production readiness.
- Review and approve qualification reports, characterisation reports, GRR and Guard band reports.
- Develop high performance analog / mixed-signal architectures & circuits.
- Perform and supervise detailed design, simulation, verification and validation of integrated circuits in collaboration with other team members like analog, layout, digital design and validation engineers.
- Prepare documents required for design reviews, internal discussions, test requirements and design documentation.
- Expertise with circuit simulations, including PVT, Monte Carlo, mixed signal, modelling, optimisation, etc.
- Creative problem solver, able to generate new ideas and file patents.
- Contribute to the growth of the team, help junior / younger engineers learn required knowledge and experience through projects work.
What you'll need to succeed
- PhD, Master’s or Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering or microelectronics – with an emphasis in analog / mixed signal Integrated Circuit Design or a similar specialty
- Experience in analog and mixed signal IC Design
- Experience in Technical Project Leadership of complex ICs
- Knowledge of full industrialisation cycle
- Strong knowledge in Cadence EDA tools
- Strong intuitive and analytical understanding of transistor-level design
- Experience is required in some or all of the following: low-noise, low-power analog circuits, oscillators, PLLs, ADCs, DACs, LED drivers, LDOs, DC/DC converters, optoelectronics, digital signal processing and calibration techniques.
- Team player with excellent listening skills, ability to organise and prioritise work
- Good communication skills in oral and written English
