For our client, an international leader in the green energy transition with innovative solutions, we are looking for a Project Development Manager - Head of Department to act in Bulgaria.

Your new role

• Develop and implement strategic plans for renewable energy project development
• Develop and lead the development team
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector
• Supervise and monitor the existing pipeline of renewable projects to achieve RTB status
• Participate in M&A transactions both on sales and acquisitions of projects
• Interact with the Engineering, Construction and Legal departments to complete the project development tasks
• Review planning documentation in respect of new projects as part of the due diligence and co-ordinate with planning consultants to discharge planning conditions and submit variations, where necessary
• Assist the grid team with planning and land-related issues with respect to grid connection assets
• Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

• What you'll need to succeed:
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science and Business Management or related fields
  • 5+ years' working experience in the development of renewable energy projects
  • Strong leadership skills, critical thinking and time management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Bulgarian and English knowledge is required
  • Ability to travel as needed for project development and stakeholder meetings
